Project Manager

The Project Manager position is within the Project Management Office group, which creates an environment that enables world-class proficiency in managing projects enterprise-wide.  This role provides processes, tools & templates thereby enabling the company to be more flexible, agile, and cost effective while reducing risk, complexity, and redundancy.

The Project Manager will be working closely with team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Intake the work into the project management software
  • Triage the work with appropriate work functions by defining scope, priorities and dependencies of projects
  • Client facing, including note taking to appropriately intake work post-meetings
  • Identify and mitigate program risks by removing impediments and escalating when applicable
  • Allocate resources optimally for timely completion of work
  • Solve unique problems with broad impact on the business; conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
  • Continuously monitoring the progress of different projects
  • Responsible for reporting status, achievements and results in a timely manner and in accordance with PMO standards
  • Heavily focus on strong communication to ensure key decisions and project status is clear to stakeholders at all levels in an enterprise & client setting
  • Maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, business partners and team members

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, IT or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Foundational Analytics and Infrastructure knowledge a plus
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience at a program management level in a technology and/or data function.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience working within program management methodologies & governance
  • Working knowledge of project management / agile tooling, Jira a plus
  • Practical knowledge of database design and experience gathering technical data requirements preferred.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle 

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.  Basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division, multiplication.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Advanced level of skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Email, and Project Management Software

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.
